Bangladesh event showcases ceramic industry innovation

The Ceramics Expo 2025 ran from November 27th – 30th at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Dhaka.

This prestigious and much-anticipated event highlighted developments in the thriving ceramics industry, providing tile manufacturing companies with an opportunity to showcase their latest products and technologies.

The joint display by Tilottama Bangla Ltd and MyKitchen was one of this year’s event highlights. Their display aimed to demonstrate the wide range of applications for premium ceramic tiling. The two key components of the display were the Big Slabs tile range and Tilottama’s precision cutting services.

Big Slabs are a large format ceramic tile which can produce a seamless, jointless surface. This produces a pleasing, expansive visual effect which can be used for commercial interiors, external facades, kitchen countertops, bathrooms, and a host of other architectural and interior applications.

With Tilottama’s new tile cutting capabilities, ceramic tiles can be cut and shaped with accuracy and precision, making it possible to create tiles in a variety of special shapes and custom designs for a wide range of applications. The company stated:

“High-quality ceramic tiles open the door to multiple advanced applications. Beyond conventional flooring, ceramic today stands as a design, architectural, and expressive material.”
