Bangkok recently hosted the prestigious Architect Expo 2025 show, with positive signs forecasted for the innovation sector of the tile market.
Among the products on display at the show were some of PORCELA’s innovative, environmentally friendly tile collections. For PORCELA’s design team, core values include green production methods and creating tiles that promote a healthy environment.
Panjama Laowiwatwong, Managing Director of Ruampat Ceramic Co. Ltd., predicted a slight stagnation in the country’s domestic tile industry in the first half of 2025 followed by a 1-2% growth in the second half of the year.
This contrasts with the much greater growth expected for the tile innovation sector of the market, which is predicted to reach 10% by the end of the year. Innovative production methods and designs, linked to environmental and health-conscious principles, are increasingly at the heart of the industry’s growth.
Among the tiles showcased by PORCELA at the Bangkok event were their anti-slip tiles and anti-bacterial ranges, and the nature-inspired Embossed Garden Collection. The Snake Skin Collection, a series of deeply textured tiles produced using digital printing, was another highlight of their display. Architects and interior designers are increasingly attracted by the aesthetic qualities, durability and sustainability of ceramic and porcelain tiles.
